Today, we started to think about our essay, we did a mind map for our previous works and learned different thinking methods. It was very difficult for me because it's never easy to get my mind together. I can not catch up on my ideas sometimes so this situation affects my works and that's exactly what happened today. I couldn't explain myself easily, I think my mind maps was not enough but this year I am determined to correct this situation. I plan to write about my development, I have 3 different ideas like illumination project, extension or built it. but I think I will  write about the spider webs project because I have a lot of deep researches about this topic. In this way, I think I can explain myself better.

My goal in making mindmaps was to see what I could talk about in my essay. After the exhibition, I decided to use the last mind map because I got very positives feedbacks from my friends. I can easily establish a relationship between the topic in this study and my designer personality. Therefore, this stage was very successful. I can improve the outcome by thinking more but I feel like I'm getting more involved in doing this because it's easier for me to type it at once and check it out later. I believe that I can show more creativity in this way

 Our last class of the week was very interactive. We prepared our final outcomes and then presented them to our group. My groupmates liked my research progress and the 3D model but some people wanted to look at my "Illuminate" project and they said that it is more original than the Extension project. This situation confused me but still, I was delighted that they liked my work. Except for those, I questioned myself too much today. I thought about my mistakes, shortcomings, strengths, and weaknesses in the projects. However, when I look back, I see that I have made progress. For example, my research pages were formerly two pages, but are now almost twenty pages. At the end of Part 1, I'm happy to start changing some things.

I chose "Structure and Surface" as my Extension Project because I researched a lot of creative works and Spider Webs impressed me so I wanted to move on more deeply on this outcome. At the same time, I got a lot of positive comments about my previous 3D model. At the beginning of the Structure and Surface project, I was planning to create a pavilion but then I changed my mind and I created a different structure. At the beginning of the Extension project, I researched skyscraper and green architecture because the "Eco Houses" book reminded me of environmental problems. After my researches, I noticed Skyscraper has not enough green areas so I wanted to move on to this problem. I started to think about natural areas. When I was researching it, I looked at my past researches and spiders web's form reminded me of terms of "connection". At this point, I decided to use these two situations together. This problem made me go back to the idea of a pavilion. Thanks to the pavilions, I would increase communication between people and gain green space so I created a pavilion design. When I was creating the pavilion, I used spider's webs form on the roof part, in this way I connected two different research. If I go back to my project, its a pavilion, everyone can use it easily, it is an environment-friendly project and In my model, the wires represent the solar panels. I chose the city area as a location because I believe that we should increase green areas and comfort zones.
